The Steak House in Pennsylvania

"The owners were amazing. We stopped in when they were closed earlier in the day asking to drop off a cake and balloons for my dad’s birthday in which we had a 5 pm reservation. Geoff and Chris permitted us to enter the restaurant and place the balloon's at our table and the kept the cake in the refrigerator for us. When we arrived Chris seated us and my dad was surprised. Mindy then took care of us, she was amazing and very professional and provided us with the best service we could have asked for. The food was amazing!!!! Then Mindy served the cake with candles and even sang Happy Birthday to my dad. He was beyond overwhelmed and was thankful for the entire evening. Thank you to everyone at The Steakhouse. I would highly recommend this restaurant for an amazing experience, great service, a more than welcoming environment and amazing food. We will be back next year."

"I came here for the Dickens Christmas event, it was our first visit to the area. I was so grateful they were able to seat us, we lucked out, just two in our party. I’d encourage anyone interested to make a reservation as a precaution. As a first timer, I wasn’t sure what to expect. The staff were warm and friendly. The bar seems like a hot spot, it’s just a few stools but the bartender/co-owner was very engaging with everyone seated. I opted for the steak and shrimp off the Dickens specialty menu. It was great, I requested my steak medium rare and it was delicious! The shrimp and broccoli were fine, the sweet potato fries I had as a side were hot and fresh. The Kennedy Old Fashioned drink I had was nice and strong. I opted for an Irish Coffee in place of dessert. I thoroughly enjoyed it here and will look to come back. It’s a wonderful husband and wife owned and operated restaurant continuing on their family’s tradition."

"Everything was perfect. It is probably recommended, especially Friday and Saturday for prime rib, to have a reservation. The place gets full very quickly. The food was delicious and the service with a smile."

"Phenomenal service, excellent food. The prime rib steak was insanely tender and juicy. Would definitely come back to try some other items. Big shout out to the mushroom and beef soup, super delicious. For dessert they have some homemade pies."

"The meal here was perfect. Cooked to perfection, seasoned to perfection, everything hot and fresh. Our group arrived shortly after typical dining hrs here ended but they were gracious enough to serve us anyways. A++ establishment and will make the 4 hr. trip from home to eat here again."

"As is on our usual motorcycle trips, we always pull into town a little late. This place offered warm food and a decent atmosphere and quick seating even though it was relatively late. Got the prime rib. Certainly not the best I've had, but still very good nonetheless, especially at such a reasonable price point."

"At a place called The Steak House, you would expect good steak. You will not be disappointed. Stop in, enjoy the atmosphere in the quaint town of Wellsboro. The only disappointment was the over cooked broccoli. The mixed drinks more than made up for the broccoli."

"Possibly the cleanest restaurant bathroom I've ever seen yet it didn't smell unpleasantly antiseptic. But that's not what you came here for, so it's a welcoming local venue, hosting regulars and tourists alike. Seems like a great team of people staffing this family owned enterprise. Salmon got rave reviews at my table. Crab cakes were a bit high on filler. Delmonico steak looked good but was not super flavorful. Decent prices, excellent service. Good value for the money."
